SAFETY & HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Update and maintain Safety & HR programs, policies & procedures for Komro sales 
  • Supervise and monitor the day to day safety of Komro Sales employees and programs
  • Inspect all equipment and employees for compliance with OSHA and Komro Sales safety policies
  • Monitor and maintain OSHA reports, logs, and related materials
  • Conduct formal training and toolbox safety sessions with supervisors and employees.
  • Schedule and lead monthly safety committee meetings 
  • Prepare written safety and health programs and policies
  • Provide ideas for minimizing safety and occupational health hazards.  
  • Perform safety inspections & post-accident/incident investigations to identify root cause(s) and provide recommendations, for preventative action
  • Manage lost time claims and be the liaison between the employee, insurance carrier and the physician
  • Ensure compliance with all salary and benefit program guidelines
  • Recruit and interview candidates, make recommendations on final candidate selection, extend job offer, pre-employment drug testing, and conduct new hire orientation
  • Respond to employee policy and procedure questions; resolve employee’s complaints; counsel managers on solutions to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
  • Develop and maintain employee handbook including policies regarding payroll, benefits, uniform, drug testing, discipline, and any additional company policies.  

Qualifications:

  • Education, training and experience in Occupational Safety & Health and Human Resources
  • Ability to recruit qualified candidates utilizing multiple recruiting sources to identify, screen, interview and recommend prospective candidates
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office / Excel applications
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
